Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), Spain“s second-largest bank, has sold a 17.1% stake in Spanish glass packaging company Vidrala, making a capital gain of EUR 19.3 million (USD 23.30 million), the bank said on 6 September 2004. BBVA sold 3.6 million shares at EUR 12.25 each, above the 6 September 2004 closing price of EUR 12.17, it said in a statement. Vidrala said 5 September 2004 that it had agreed to lend money to 15 company executives to allow them to buy 258,000 of the shares.
