US rating agency Moody“s Investors Service Inc. said 13 July 2004 that it changed its rating outlook for Nippon Sheet Glass Co. to positive from stable and started reviews on three other Japanese makers for possible upgrade. Moody“s raised its outlook for the Baa2 long-term debt rating on Nippon Sheet Glass, saying it expected the company“s “overall operating performance will further stabilize in the near to medium term”. Moody“s said it started rating reviews on Nippon Electric Glass Co., Asahi Glass Co. and Central Glass Co. for possible upgrade, noting favorable earnings and financial conditions. Moody“s currently rates the long-term debts of Central Glass at Baa1, Asahi Glass at A2 and Central Glass at Baa3.
