On March 13 and 14, Groupe Pochet had the honour of welcoming over 400 people to celebrate a major milestone: the inauguration of the first 100 percent electric furnace dedicated to produce luxury glass bottles in France.
On March 13, customers got a sneak preview of this technological innovation and shared behind the scenes insights into the transformation of this industry with Groupe Pochet’s teams.
On March 14, the company had the pleasure of sharing this event with the Prefect of Seine-Maritime, the Sub-Prefect of Dieppe, suppliers, partners, employees, the press as well as the Gendarmerie and the Fire Department.
This EUR 40 million investment, supported by the family shareholders, ADEME and the Normandy Region, marks a major step forward in Groupe Pochet’s commitment to sustainable luxury. This furnace, powered by renewable energy, will allow the company to drastically reduce its CO2 emissions while maintaining the glassmaking excellence that Pochet du Courval has been renowned for for over 400 years.
