12th ESG Conference Call for Papers

The 12th ESG Conference, to take place 21-24 September 2014 in Parma (Italy) at the University Campus, will be a four-day event with a conference agenda organized into parallel sessions and poster session.

A.T.I.V. (Association of Italian Glass Technologists) and SSV (Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro) in cooperation with University of Parma are pleased to announce the next 12th ESG Conference that will be held in Parma (Italy) at Campus University on 21-24 September 2014.
The Conference is part of the institutional activities of the European Society of Glass (ESG) to promote technical and scientific knowledge about uses and properties of glass.
The ESG 2014 conference is an extraordinary opportunity for academic researchers and glass industry experts coming from all over the world to discuss the most updated topics of interest for the glass community.
The Conference is jointly organized by A.T.I.V. and Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro, in cooperation with University of Parma under the aegis of Assovetro, and will be chaired by:
- Eng. Alessandro Bandini, A.T.I.V. President and Dr. Stefano Manoli, Managing Director of Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro.
The following international Scientific Committee will select the papers to be presented:

The 12th ESG Conference will be a four-day event with a conference agenda organized into parallel sessions and poster session. A Sightseeing Tour, Gala Dinner and an Accompanying Person Program are also planned.
The themes to be discussed include: Glass Technology, Glass & Environment, Properties & Measures, Special Glasses, Safety & Hygiene, Glass in Architecture.
Those interested in submitting a paper should send a detailed abstract along with the names, addresses, affiliations, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of all co-authors by 31 December 2013 using ESG2014 guidelines for abstract submission on the Conference website at http://www.esg2014.it. All papers received by 31 July 2014 will be published (with authors’ approval) in the Conference Proceedings in digital format. Selected papers will be submitted (with authors’ approval) to: Glass Worldwide (A.T.I.V.’s Official Journal), published by Chameleon Business Media Ltd., and to La Rivista della Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro, electronic Journal edited by Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro.
In connection with the 12th ESG Conference, the XXIX A.T.I.V. Conference, the GlassTrend Seminar, the Annual Meeting of the International Commission on Glass (ICG), the Annual Meeting of the European Glass Society (ESG) will be organized and the ICG TC Meetings will be hosted during the conference. A sponsor programme will be defined in order to promote their activities.

Notification of acceptance of abstracts: 31 January 2014
Early bird registration: until 30 June 2014
Final paper submission deadline: 31 July 2014
