81st Conference on Glass Problems to go virtual

We received the following press release from the organizers of the Glass Problem Conference

In light of recent events related to COVID-19, The Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC) is announcing that the 81st Conference on Glass Problems (GPC) will be held as a virtual event rather than a live event, October 26–30, 2020.

The decision to cancel the live version of GPC is based on guidance from the WHO and the CDC, as well as local government and public health authorities of our conference venue.

We will provide full details about the Virtual Conference on Glass Problems and open registration on August 3rd. We appreciate the efforts of our organizers, volunteers, vendors, and partners to work with us and respond to a fast-changing situation in a way that allows us to continue to serve our members and mission. We apologize for this inconvenience; however, we believe that pivoting to a virtual conference will protect the health of our attendees and staff members.

We will be offering a robust content rich program, symposium, and short courses that I am sure you will find valuable.

I extend the GMIC’s best wishes for health.
Sincerely,

Bob Lipetz, MBA
Conference Director, Virtual Conference on Glass Problems
Executive Director, Glass Manufacturing Industry Council
