Ardagh’s Illinois Facility: Cook County Manufacturer of the Year

Ardagh Group, Glass – North America, a division of Ardagh Group and a leading producer of glass containers for the food and beverage industries in the United States, is pleased to announce that its Dolton, Ill. glass manufacturing facility was honored as Cook County Manufacturer of the Year.

The award was presented to Ardagh Group Dolton during the third annual Making Manufacturing Matter Awards & Recognition event on Oct. 6 in Chicago, hosted by the Alliance for Industry & Manufacturing (AIM). The ceremony was held to honor organizations and people from Cook and collar counties making notable strides in the innovation and transformation of the manufacturing industry.
Ardagh Group Dolton was awarded for its reputation for leadership and involvement in the manufacturing industry, its focus on technology and innovation, as well as its demonstrated commitment to the local community.
“We would like to thank the Alliance for Industry and Manufacturing for promoting manufacturing within this region,” said John Riordan, President and CEO of Ardagh Group, Glass – North America. “Ardagh Group has devoted significant resources to hire and develop talent from the local community eager to begin life-long careers at our Dolton facility. Collaborating with AIM has been a tremendous experience for us, and we are very grateful to be honored as Cook County Manufacturer of the Year.”
Since 1954, Ardagh Group’s Dolton, Ill., glass manufacturing facility has contributed to the Cook County community by providing careers and ongoing charitable support. Today, the facility employs more than 440 people that are dedicated to making Ardagh Group the glass packaging supplier of choice.
