SORG participates in the 97th DGG Glass Technology Conference

The Deutsche Glastechnische Gesellschaft (DGG) from May 27 to 29, 2024, will organize the 97th Glass Technology Conference in the historic city of Aachen, Germany.

At the Conference Nikolaus SORG and EME will host several lectures.

On Monday May 27, Sebastian Krogel and Manfred Wagner of Nikolaus SORG will discuss the potential of hydrogen combustion as a strategy for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the glass industry. The session will take place at 11:40 in room K2.

The following day, Nikolaus SORG’s Research & Development Manager, Dirk Schnurpfeil, will provide an update on the ground-breaking CLEAN Melter®. He will share exciting updates on its progression and technical advancements. This presentation will occur at 14:40 (CET) in room K1.

Immediately following this lecture, Grant Bailey and Sebastian Woltz of EME will present the “Latest Developments in Batch and Cullet Preheating Technology within the SORG Group,” showcasing the potential of batch and cullet preheating. The presentation starts at 15:00 in room K1.
