Registration now open for IG Fabricator Workshop

The IGMA (the Insulating Glass Manufacturer’s Alliance) announced today a new event for the industry focusing on IG fabrication.

Called the IG Fabricator Workshop, IGMA’s newest event will take place March 22-24th in Plano, Texas at the Intertek Testing Facilities and will offer a blend of classroom and hands-on training.
“There are two major trends affecting the fenestration industry today,” explains Margaret Webb, IGMA’s Executive Director. “The first trend is major turnover in plant personnel as the baby boomers are retiring, taking with them a wealth of knowledge and experience in the fabrication of insulating glass units just when that expertise is needed the most. This happens while the second trend of architects and engineers upping the game on building envelope design with unusual aesthetics, improved thermal performance, and taking into account the human factor using daylighting controls.  This workshop is given by industry experts who know their stuff and are willing to share their expertise and knowledge using adult education principles developed for Gen X, Gen Y and Millennials to ensure that this expertise gets passed onto the next generation.”
Registration for this three day event is $950 for the first attendee, and $855 for each additional attendee from IG fabricators. The training is geared to create instant impact within a fabricator’s company.
IGMA is a dynamic group of glass industry professionals who voluntarily come together to solve common industry problems, meet common needs and accomplish goals relative to Insulating Glass in the Global Fenestration Industry.
