US Glass Problems Conference: solutions, technology, innovation

The largest and longest running operations-oriented glass manufacturing conference in America, the Conference on Glass Problems (GPC), will hold its 76th event from 2-5 November 2015, in Columbus.

Registration is now open for this content-rich, technically-oriented conference attracts worldwide glass manufacturers and suppliers to exchange innovative solutions.

Over the course of the conference, invited experts will present the latest technologies, problem solutions and innovations in glass melting, refractories, energy efficiency, process control, modeling, safety, emissions, raw materials and batching, forming, and more.

The GMIC symposium – Forming Technology in Glass Manufacturing following the conference offers a rare opportunity to focus on the market’s latest technologies to support critical forming processes and address current challenges in glass manufacturing. Audience members will gain technical knowledge and exchange experiences with each other in support of the advancement and application of forming technologies.

There will also be three short courses for glass manufacturers offered by GMIC, providing difficult-to-find technical education in glass manufacturing operations.

  • Fundamentals of Batch and Furnace Operation, C. Philip Ross, Glass Industry Consulting International
  • Breakage Analysis of Glass Containers and Furnace Operation, Peter W. de Haan, America Glass Research
  • Combustion, Peter W. de Haan, America Glass Research
