Bystronic glass showcased latest solution, celebrated 10th anniversary in China at China Glass 2015

Bystronic glass unveiled B’COMFORT, its high-quality glass processing system solutions tailored for the Chinese market, at China Glass 2015. This insulating glass production line includes a washing machine, inspection and frame positioning station, as well as an assembly and press robot.

Bystronic glass, a world leading architectural and automotive glass manufacturer and solution provider, unveiled at the China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (China Glass 2015) its high-quality glass processing system solutions tailored for Chinese market.
Dr. Burghard Schneider, CEO of Bystronic glass, noted during his visit to China: “We remain optimistic of the Chinese glass market. China has high potential in automotive and architectural glass, an area of our main focus. China has the world’s most auto consumers and is still in rapid expansion; in the field of architectural decoration, despite declination in real estate growth, demand for high-quality glass remains robust in the long run and will foreseeable increase in the short term. In particular, the Chinese government recently released the strategy of China Manufacturing 2025, a formal framework exerting determination to move from low-end industrial chain to premium manufacturing. We cannot achieve such transformation without high-quality products and glass processing system solutions. The vision of Bystronic glass is consistent with the target.”
Since its establishment in 1964, Bystronic glass has been dedicated to the development of glass processing systems and has provided global major markets with a large variety of high-quality architectural and automotive glass processing system solutions. “The company meets diversified demands of local Chinese customers by not only providing from independent machinery to multiple differentiated products covering the whole processing chain – from basic units to automatic and customized glass processing solutions, but also more professional and reliable services,” said Hans Ulrich Schick, President of Bystronic Glass Co., Ltd. (Shanghai).
During the event, Bystronic glass demonstrated a highly efficient start-up solution for automated insulating glass manufacturing – B’COMFORT. This insulating glass production line includes washing machine, inspection and frame positioning station as well as an assembly and press robot. Optionally the B’COMFORT can be equipped with the eco’sealer, a new, efficient sealing robot of automatic sealing of insulating glass units. Efficient system and compact device allow customers to enjoy increased production efficiency per unit area. Furthermore, from the perspective of processing economics, the system requires low base investment, has a better cost-performance ratio and can be scaled up according to customer’s requirements at later stage.
Regarded as an ideal economic model most suitable for manufacturing of industrial insulating glass, the production line was operated in a demonstration held during the exhibition. Visitors were able to experience in person advantages of the line: easy to operate, speedy production and precision. Visitors were impressed by the fact that B’COMFORT is a low-cost approach for customers to rapidly expand manufacturing capacity of insulating glass: 800 gas-filled insulating glass units of rectangular or special-shaped glass per shift, which will greatly benefit customers with highly efficient production.
Bystronic glass also exhibited a variety of products and advanced manufacturing technology in the field of architectural glass and automotive glass preprocessing. From the very beginning of manufacturing, Bystronic glass provides support for customer’s equipment program, and then its nationwide service personnel will offer spare parts and on-site support to local customers. The service system is greatly enhanced by personalized training. “Our focus is to help clients improve their competitiveness, and as a result, customers can get the most suitable solution from Bystronic glass in regardless of single product or complete process, ” explained Dr. Burghard Schneider.
Schick noted on the 10th anniversary of Bystronic glass in China, “In the past decade, Bystronic glass has enjoyed considerable development. Boasting more than 100 glass lines, Jiading plant in Shanghai has manufactured products to satisfy needs of local users featured ‘Bystronic glass’ standard’, as well as exporting to rest of the world. Now, Bystronic glass Jiading plant has over 44 professionals and has inherited German and Swiss quality of Bystronic glass through importing components to be assembled locally.” For this reason, a lively celebration event was held at Bystronic glass booth, inviting both new and old customers to enjoy authentic German beer and to share the Happy Hour.
“As Chinese customers become more demanding in terms of quality, Bystronic glass will align customers to manufacture more efficiently with its innovation to face up against more and more complex processing demands in the future. Meanwhile, the company will continue to actively expand in the Chinese market and follow the latest strategy of ‘One Belt One Road’. Bystronic glass will appeal more Chinese partners years to come,” concluded Dr. Schneider.
