Safelite has announced that it is acquiring the automotive glass assets of Pro Auto Glass & Mirror, which will, in the immediate future, operate under a Safelite and Pro Auto Glass co-branding strategy.
Safelite Group is acquiring substantially all of the automotive glass assets of Hermitage, Pa.-based Pro Auto Glass & Mirror. For the immediate future, the company will operate under a Safelite and Pro Auto Glass co-branding strategy.
Pro Auto Glass has been owned and operated by Tim and Mary Beth Henrich since 1990.
“We’ve been doing this for 25 years and we’re ready to retire,” says Tim Henrich. “I’m heading toward 64. Everything just worked out. All the pieces for this deal fit together. We’re happy with Safelite taking over.”
The company employs two automotive glass technicians and a customer service representative. Tim Henrich will remain as a short-term consultant to assist in the transition of the associates and business to Safelite.
Previously, Safelite only offered mobile service in the Hermitage, Pa., area.
“The acquisition will position Safelite to be the clear leader in Shenango Valley and allow Safelite to expand coverage to better serve customers and meet insurance clients’ needs in western Pennsylvania,” according to a company statement.
“We are pleased to welcome Pro Auto Glass’ employees to the Safelite team,” says Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite Group. “As new associates, we are happy to offer them all the resources they need to succeed.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
