Saint-Gobain’s glass magic shines at the Italian Song Festival

Saint-Gobain was the manufacturer behind the beautiful flooring made of extra-clear flat glass on the stage of the Ariston Theatre in San Remo, where the 65th Italian Song Festival took place last week.

This year, the prestigious stage of the Artison Theatre in San Remo, where the 65th Italian Song Festival took place last week, was made of glass from Saint-Gobain.
Made of extra-clear, resistant and brilliant glass, assembled at the Saint-Gobain Glass production unit in Pisa, the stage made the scenography designed by architect Riccardo Bocchini even more beautiful.
The stage flooring of about 150 sq.m., in fact, was made of SGG Stapid Protect extra-clear SGG Diamant glass, with polished edges, so as to create a perfectly in-line surface without defects. The resulting effect highlighted the lights and colours of the show and its numerous guests.
SGG Stapid Protect laminated safety glass is made up of glass with PVB interlayers, making the glass sheets transparent, flexible and with long lasting adhesion, thus making the glass ideal for flooring applications.
Founded in 1665, Saint-Gobain celebrates its 350th anniversary this year. The Group is, today, a global leader in sustainable building, developing, manufacturing and commercializing new-generation building materials. The Group is present in 64 countries, with 190,000 employees, and had a turnover of EUR 42 billion in 2013.
