Vetrotech’s fire-rated glazing products now have a comprehensive life cycle assessment (LCA), which is a rigorous method for “assessing the environmental footprint of a product or service, in a fully transparent way”.
Vetrotech announced it is the first fire-rated glass company in the world to have made a comprehensive life cycle assessment (LCA) of fire-rated glazing products.
The LCA is a rigorous method for “assessing the environmental footprint of a product or service, in a fully transparent way,” according to the company. The results of the LCAs are validated by an independent third-party organization and reported in the form of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
The EPD for Keralite, from the Sustainable Solutions Corporation, has recently been published on the UL’s sustainable products guide for energy efficient products. The recently published EPD may be downloaded from the Vetrotech website.
