Mir Stekla 2014: ArtGlass is back

Mir Stekla 2014 will take place under one roof in a completely new format and will be moving to Pavilion 2 of the exhibition complex in Moscow. The main emphasis of the exhibition this year is on the extraordinary possibilities of glass.

The 2014 edition of Mir Stekla will take place in a completely new format and will be moving to Pavilion 2. The show is therefore now under one roof – in a very modern and comfortable pavilion of the exhibition complex in Moscow.
The main emphasis of the exhibition this year is on the extraordinary possibilities of glass. The new ArtGlass Salon will present various techniques of art glass, with the participation of Moti Werzberger, whose work with glass in various techniques has international popularity and adorn the interior of many public and private buildings, and whose glass sculptures and murals have been presented at exhibitions all over the world. Werzberger has more than 30 years of teaching in techniques of stained glass, fusing, pate de ver and lampwork in College Werzberger in Israel, and is a Member of the Union of Masters of Glass USA A.G.S.A.
The artwork of Irina Ponomareva and Natalia Zhytomyrskaya, both wizards of stained glass, glass painting, fusing, lampwork will also be on show. The ArtStudio MalinoDesign group, masters of artistic glass, using different types of wood, copper and bronze will demonstrate how to create interiors and decor, original furniture, custom lighting fixtures for the home and garden with classic stained-glass windows and Tiffany stained glass.
The show will include the non-aging and unfading colour and texture of glass artworks processed in fusing, as well as unique jewellery and interior items made with Lampwork technique. Visitors will have the chance to witness the creation of masterpieces of glass by masters of glass blowing.
The other areas of the exhibition will, as usual, have on show numerous innovations, such as: energy-efficient glass, translucent structures, warm edge technology, low-emission, multifunctional, solar control glass.
Glass as a marketing tool will include the latest technology and materials for the decoration of glass, including glass containers.
The latest technologies of glass use in architecture, magnetron sputtering systems and technologies of application of energy-saving coating for architectural glass to demonstrate warm house of glass.
Last but not least, transportation and storage of glass, and processing technologies for raw materials and finished products.
