UK-based Beatson Clark has announced that it has received GBP 1.7 million from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), which will be used to install a bottle forming machine and a bulk palletizer for packing glass products.
Beatson Clark has secured up to GBP 1.7 million from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF) to install a bottle forming machine and a bulk palletizer for packing glass products at its Rotherham plant in Yorkshire, UK.
According to the UK-based company, this is part of a planned GBP 12 million investment, which will include a larger capacity furnace.
Beatson Clark sales and marketing director Lynn Sidebottom said the funding will enable the company to strengthen the service it provides to the pharmaceutical sector.
“It will facilitate an expansion of our activities in the growing brewery sector and help to secure jobs for the future,” Sidebottom added.
Glass manufacturer Beatson Clark hopes to complete the investment programme by March 2015.
A total of GBP 50 million has been allocated to businesses and organizations in Yorkshire from the fourth round of RGF.
