EVA is Spami’s automatic inspection machine that checks pharmaceutical containers (vials) at a speed that is higher than the typical converting machines. The machine’s high speed, up to 12,000 pieces per hour, allows to process the output of several vials forming machines.
The pharmaceutical industry is more and more demanding in terms of cosmetic quality of glass vials and an automatic inspection system is necessary to guarantee the effectiveness and reliability of controls.
To meet the needs of converting companies, Spami has created EVA, an automatic inspection machine that checks pharmaceutical containers (vials) at a speed that is higher than the typical converting machines. For this reason it is designed to serve out-of-line production as it is designed as a standalone machine.
EVA is equipped with a high performance camera inspection system able to detect cosmetic defects on the entire surface of the vials (heel, body, shoulder, neck, collar, flange surface, bottom side), such as cracks, scratches, air lines, bubbles, dirty points, etc.
Dimensional inspection is also available with EVA.
Further characteristics include:
- high speed, up to 12,000 pieces per hour, allowing to process the output of several vials forming machines;
- extremely flexible and able to cover the full range of tubular vials;
- can be fed by trays or by a conveyor. The out-feed can also be on trays or directly on a conveyor;
- realized with FDA approved materials and components and can work in a pharmaceutical environment.
