Futurex Sri Lanka Glass International Expo 2013

Futurex Sri Lanka Glass International Expo will take place 27-29 September at BMICH, Colombo, Sri Lanka. This second edition will, as for the first edition, also include a Glass Conclave, with the presence of top speakers sharing their knowledge and enlightening the industry.

The second edition of the Futurex Sri Lanka Glass International Expo will be taking place 27-29 September at BMICH, Colombo, Sri Lanka. This second edition of the event will be an ideal opportunity for the industry professionals and the construction industry to explore opportunities of investing in the future of glass.
The first edition of First Edition of the Futurex Sri Lanka Glass International Expo was held 29 September – 1 October 2012 with more than 130 participants from countries such as Germany, Italy, India, China, Korea, Sri Lanka, and with more than 6,000 trade visitors over the three days. Another groundbreaking event was Sri Lanka Glass Conclave 2012, a focused seminar on façade testing, selection of façade and selection of glass, held 1 October 2012, formulating the grounds for a new educational platform in South Asia. The seminar focused on highlighting the latest technology trends and advancements in the glass and glazing industry. The 2013 Glass Conclave aims to have the top speakers across the globe sharing their knowledge and enlightening the industry.
The exhibition is recognized as a trusted industry platform for business communication, professional opinion-sharing and discussions at numerous conferences, round table discussions, seminars and presentations.
Production and technology on show will include: glass melting, forming for flat glass, kilns, float, laminated, wired and other types of flat glasses, coating and much more.
Glass processing and finishing will involve cutting, breaking and snapping, drilling, edge and surface finishing, forming and bending, laser, electronic display glass, insulating glass, safety glass, cleaning, digital printing, nano-technology.
Façade elements such as aluminium composite panel insulation, curtain walls, louvers, other cladding materials; and glass products and applications including flat glass, decorative glass, automotive glass, safety glass, toughened glass, stained glass, fire resistant glass, structural use of glass, laminated glass, frosted glass, mirrors.
With regards to auxiliary products, fittings and tools, these will involve glazing tools, cutting, grinding and drilling tools, fittings for glass, hardware for windows and doors, silicone adhesives, adhesive technology, industrial tapes, protective films, decorative films, protective coatings and more.
Last but not least, software, associations, and trade publications will also be represented.
