The 25th edition of Luxe Pack Monaco, which took place 24-26 October 2012, had more than 7,000 visitors and 370 exhibitors, confirmed the particularly dynamic nature of the event.

The show was visited by 7,022 people, an increase of 10.5% compared to the 2011 edition.
Perfume and cosmetics was the largest sector represented among visitors followed by the alcohol & spirits, delicatessen, fashion accessory, jewellery and watch, pharmacy-health, leather goods, tobacco, writing instruments, table art, and decoration sectors.
The show’s internationality was confirmed by 52% of foreign visitors from 68 countries such as the US, Russia, and South America.
The show’s guest of honour, Mary Lewis, talked about the design principles she uses as a guide in her everyday work before a full house. “Beauty is no longer in the eye of the beholder, it comes from within,” said Ms. Lewis.
During the conference on “Luxury Packaging and sustainable development – the new alliance?”, experts in sustainable development and responsible luxury laid the groundwork for reviewing analyses, the relevance, and specificity of a sustainable development initiative in the luxury sector. Groups, such as LVMH, and large houses, such as Chanel and Guerlain, have shown good sense in moving towards product packaging eco-design and have illustrated case studies and innovations discretely but thoroughly carried out.
Designing the packaging for a product to be sold online, understanding emerging luxury markets to better adapt packaging, producing exceptional packaging, or associating sensory perception with luxury were just some of the topics covered during the three-day show by experts from around the world.
The next edition of Luxe Pack Monaco will take place 23-25 October 2013 at the Grimaldi Forum.
