SAGE: VP Technical Business Development to present at GlassBuild

At the upcoming Glazing Executive Forum, SAGE Electrochromics’ VP Technical Business Development, Dr. Helen Sanders, will discuss how the development of “eco-labels” is expanding rapidly, also reviewing the basics of LCAs, PCRs and EPDs, the status of the industry’s work in this area and the key strategic issues.

Dr. Helen Sanders, VP Technical Business Development, SAGE Electrochromics, the world’s leading manufacturer of electronically tintable glass, will present on “Eco-labelling is coming; is the glazing industry ready?” The session will focus on the importance of environmental product declarations (EPDs), or “eco-labels,” to the future success of organizations manufacturing construction products. She will discuss how the development of “eco-labels” is expanding rapidly, as are the rules governing how the lifecycle assessment that creates these labels (product category rules or PCRs) is done. She will also review the basics of LCAs, PCRs and EPDs, the status of the industry’s work in this area and the key strategic issues. Helen Sanders has more than 15 years of experience in the glass industry and more than 10 years of experience in dynamic glass technology and manufacturing.
Dr. Sanders’ presentation will take place at the Glazing Executive Forum, a key programme created for North American company owners and key project managers, co-located at GlassBuild America.
The Glazing Executive Forum takes place Thursday, 13 September 2012 and Dr. Sanders’ session begins at 2:00 p.m. GlassBuild America runs from Wednesday, 12 September to Friday, 14 September 2012.
