Glass World 2012 post show report

Glass World 2012 brought together leading international and national exhibitors and visitors to take advantage of the Middle East and Africa’s unique and prosperous market.

Glass World 2012, which took place 3-5 May 2012, was supported by The Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council, Faculty of Applied Arts – Glass Department, Association of Applied Arts Designers. The event brought together the leading international and national visitors with key role exhibitors under one roof to benefit from the Middle East and Africa’s unique and prosperous market first hand.
Sectors on show ranged from glass machinery, flat, float and hollow glass, to aluminium products, raw materials and chemicals and others.
The show had 110 leading exhibitors from Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, UAE and US, as well as group participation from China and trade visitors from 40 countries. Moreover, invited trade delegations from Jordan, Kenya, Libya, Sudan and Syria, also took part.
Egyptian participants included Alu Nile, Door Tec., Glass Tec., Saint-Gobain Egypt, Sphinx Glass, while international exhibitors were Bavelloni, Bottero Glass Technology, Bystronic glass, Dorma, Eti Soda, Fermac, Glasstech, Jeffer Engineering and Technology Co, Ltd., Shandong Sanjin Glass Machinery, Tam Glass, Tyrolit, and many more.
The next edition of the event will be held in April 2013 at the Cairo International Convention Centre (CICC), Cairo, Egypt.
