Pulp Studio, Inc.’s acquisition of California Glass Bending, Inc. is the result of an ongoing collaboration between the two companies over the last eight years.
Pulp Studio, Inc. has, according in a release dated 16 March, announced its intent to acquire California Glass Bending, Inc. The acquisition, result of an ongoing collaboration between the two companies over the last eight years, will be final by the end of March.
“Kelly Green, the owner of California Glass Bending, has been in the industry for many years and now has the opportunity to take life a little easier. Our two companies have long worked together on many projects. The synergy of the two facilities makes this acquisition a natural step for all parties concerned,” said Bernard Lax, CEO of Pulp Studio.
According to the release, the acquisition of California Glass Bending will enable the Pulp Studio and California Glass Bending facilities to be more integrated and offer a wider range of products.
There will be no immediate change in how the facilities operate, and customers of both facilities will not experience any changes. Employees will not be affected in the transition, which is expected to require the hiring of additional employees over the coming months, according to Pulp Studio officials.
The addition of the California Glass Bending facility, along with the expansion of one of Pulp’s facilities, will give Pulp Studio a total of just over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and about 100 employees.
