PRL Glass completes new manufacturing facility

PRL Glass’ new 98,000-square-foot manufacturing facility will house the company’s new art laminated glass line, automatic float and lamination glass cutting lines, and its third tempering oven.

Officials from PRL Glass have announced the completion of a new 98,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to add to the company’s existing 150,000-square-foot glass and aluminium plants.
This new building will be the home of the company’s new art laminated glass line, automatic float and lamination glass cutting lines, and a 96-inch by 172-inch tempering oven, the company’s third. The addition of the production lines will establish PRL as an advanced, high-volume glass fabricator/manufacture on the West Coast, according to the release. The investment positions the company’s manufacturing capabilities for future growth, and will help maintain fast lead times.
PRL Glass Company was founded in 1989 and is now family owned by the Landeros family. The company originally started its operations under a 3,000 square foot building with three employees offering glass and mirror stock sheets to the glazing industry.
After that, the company slowly started offering fabricated glass, shower doors, all glass entrance doors and bevelled mirrors.
PRL now offers over 20 complete products lines for the commercial and residential construction industry, as well as for furniture manufactures.
