A plant for soda ash production in the Mozyr district, Belarus, with a capacity of 300 thousand tons, is to be financed by the Export-Import Bank of China. According to the resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus, ‘the draft loan agreement to provide consumer credit between Exim Bank of China and the Government of Belarus to implement the investment project has been approved’.
The Export-Import Bank of China will reportedly finance the construction of a plant for soda ash production in the Mozyr district, Belarus, with a capacity of 300 thousand tons. According to the resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus, ‘the draft loan agreement to provide consumer credit between Exim Bank of China and the Government of Belarus to implement the investment project has been approved’.
Cost of the project is about USD 800 million.
Belarus uses about 120 thousand tons of soda ash products per year. Soda ash is used as a raw material in glass and chemical industries and other sectors of the economy.
