Sparklike Laser posts results of independent testing

The company commissioned testing through test laboratory ift Rosenheim.

Sparklike Oy commissioned test laboratory ift Rosenheim to perform tests determining argon gas concentration in insulating glass units by using a challenging set of test specimens. These 13 specimens included samples with different constructions such as clear glass, triple glazed units as well as laminated glass with different coatings. The purpose of the test was to verify the results from measurements done with Sparklike Laser Standard analyser, by using gas chromatograph as a reference device.ift Rosenheim’s results found that filling rates from 85 to 100 percent Argon could be detected in both gaps, and that No deviations could be observed when measurement was made through uncoated float glass, low iron glass or from the tin side of float glass. The tests found that a small influence of low emissivity coatings and variation of the glass thickness could be demonstrated and concluded that these results are within the measurement uncertainty of the system.
