O-I (Owens-Illinois Inc.) has reportedly signed an agreement to buy French manufacturer Verrerie du Languedoc, the manufacturer of the green bottles for Perrier sparkling water. The French glassmaker, located in Southwestern France, also makes bottles for San Pellegrino sparkling water and local wines. The price of the acquisition was not revealed and officials at Owens-Illinois and Verrerie du Languedoc were not available for comment.
