Pittsburgh Corning Corp. announced on 6 October that it has named vice president and general manager James Kane as president. He succeeds Phil Martineau, who remains chairman and chief executive. Pittsburgh Corning is a manufacturer of residential, commercial and industrial building materials, including glass block and cellular glass insulation. Kane, 51, began his 28-year career at Corning Inc. Prior to joining Pittsburgh Corning, Kane served as vice president of business development at HNI Corp.
