Quanex Building Products Corporation is taking an integrated systems approach to product development that, it says, groups together its high-performance components into systems. This, in turn, is helping window and door fabricators streamline their manufacturing operations and increase their speed to market with precertified fenestration systems. Quanex“ systems merge components from its Engineered Products Group (EPG) family of businesses: Mikron Industries, Truseal Technologies and Homeshield Fenestration Components, with latest developments being: – ImperiClad Door System, combining Mikron“s MikronWood composite jambs and trim with Homeshield“s patented door threshold to provide a door system that is easier to install than other door systems; and – EnergyCore Window System, with Mikron“s AirCell vinyl profiles and Truseal“s energy-efficient insulating glass spacer system, Duralite. Precertified window and door systems provide the following benefits: – increased speed to market; – fully integrated system designs; – pre-certified systems; – meeting today“s energy-efficiency demands and anticipating future ones; – streamlined sourcing; – reliable source of supply.
