The Gerresheimer Group is presenting its diverse range of pharmaceutical containers and intelligent application systems at Taropak, Poznan, Poland, 13-16 September 2010. Visitors to the Gerresheimer Group“s stand (Pavilion 2, Stand 36) will be able to see a wide range of glass and plastic products, many of which are manufactured by the company“s Polish subsidiary Gerresheimer Boleslawiec. Poland has evolved into one of the Gerresheimer Group“s key East-West hubs in recent years. Demand is growing in Eastern Europe for high-quality, application-friendly system products. Our production plant in the Polish town of Boleslawiec enables us to bring our development and manufacturing operations close to our customers, said Jerzy Sobolewski, CEO of Gerresheimer Boleslawiec. Gerresheimer Group will also have on show one of its most recent product innovations, the cyclic olefin polymer (COP) multilayer vials, which ensure, says the company, excellent thermal and mechanical durability, and are therefore ideal for sensitive parenteral medications because their oxygen barrier is far more effective than that of conventional COP vials. The tamper evident seal (US seal) for Duma Twist-Off caps which is being showcased at Taropak enables the use of the same containers and closure systems in Europe and the US. The spotlight is also on ready-to-fill syringe systems as the most progressive supply format – particularly the RTF glass syringe systems, which utilizes the advantages of the conventional siliconization process, but also fixes the silicone oil to the glass surface permanently to significantly improve the stability of the medication contained in the syringe.
