The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has granted a three-year credit of RUB 460 million to Ruscam. Thanks to these ruble-denominated loans, as reported in the press release, the company will be able to reduce losses on currency conversions, and also repay some old debts. Ruscam is part of the Turkish group of companies Sisecam, and has its head office (Anadolu Cam Sanaii AS) in Moscow. The company is made up of five Russian glass container plants with the first built in 2001. Today, the company continues to produce glass containers at the Pokrovsky glass plant (now Ruscam-Pokrovsky) in the Vologda region, at Kirishi Glassworks (Ruscam-Kirishi), and at Ruscam-Ufa. Most of these projects were also financed with loans from the EBRD, which, since 2004, has granted the company more than USD 200 million.
