UK glassmaker Romag has been awarded a GBP 10.2 million contract by North-East based non-profit organization Community Energy Solutions (CES). The contract, which involves the supply of provide solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and roof mount kits, was awarded to Romag, based near Consett, County Durham, over 12 other bidders in a European Tendering Process. The photovoltaic equipment will be used in approximately 2,000 PV systems in homes and properties across the North East, Yorkshire and Humberside, which will be installed within the next two years.
