Floods in southern Poland that have killed at least six people and forced thousands from their homes are disrupting production of Fiat cars in the country because of a glass shortage. Fiat SpA, Poland“s second-largest exporter, stopped production at its plant in Tychy because windshields and windows are not arriving, Boguslaw Cieslar, a spokesman for Fiat Auto Poland SA said. Pilkington Polska Sp. z o.o., a unit of Nippon Sheet Glass Co., shut its flat-glass unit in Sandomierz after flood water blocked roads and cut power supplies, spokeswoman Monika Klamka said.
