The National Glass Association“s best-selling 2010 Guide to the Glass and Glazing Requirements of the Model Building Codes is now available, according to a 12 May 2010 release. This updated, authoritative resource offers expanded coverage over 163 pages; the previous edition was 117 pages. NGA members pay USD 69 per copy, half the regular price. “The 2009 International Codes, or some variation of the 2009 International Codes, have the potential to become the most widely adopted and enforced set of construction codes in US history”, said Julie Ruth, principal author of the updated publication, in the release. “What we have attempted to do in this guide is provide the members of the glass and fenestration industry with a basic understanding of these codes and how they apply to their products. As such, it is my hope that it will be a useful tool to our industry”.
