Hindustan National Glass (HNG) said at the beginning of May that it intends to invest about Rs 1,200 crore to set up an integrated glass manufacturing hub in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, in the next three to four years. We are setting up an integrated glass manufacturing hub in Nellore consisting of three production lines and the total investment in the project would be around Rs 1,200 crore, HNG senior vice-president Vinay Saran said. According to Saran, the company is planning to set up three production lines in the proposed hub – one for the production of container glass and two for float glass. The company has already signed a MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government.
