Edgetech I.G. has announced two appointments with the promotion of Mike Burk to manager, workplace learning and performance, while Adam Sanders joins the team as quality engineer. Burk joined Edgetech in 2007 as product manager and has most recently served as technical service manager. Sanders previously held the positions of process engineer and application engineer for Edgetech“s sister company Lauren Manufacturing. In his new role, Mike Burk is responsible for providing training and support to drive Edgetech“s industry-leading customer support to improve quality, capacity and efficiency. Additionally, he will assist with the implementation of industry best practices and the effective use of ancillary equipment at customer facilities. Burk has nearly 20 years of experience in the fenestration industry with a strong background in training and development, including Green Belt and ISO training expertise. He holds a bachelor“s degree in business from Myers College in Cleveland, Ohio, and has a master“s degree in adult learning and development from Cleveland State University. Mike has been an invaluable resource for our organization, our customers and our industry, said Larry Johnson, executive vice president for Edgetech. His expertise in manufacturing, training and management make him the perfect candidate for this position. This promotion is well deserved. Adam Sanders has been promoted to quality engineer at Edgetech from within the Lauren International family of businesses. Most recently he held the position of application engineer for Lauren Manufacturing where he gained considerable experience in product design and quality assurance. Sanders holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University. As quality engineer, Sanders will work with the current Edgetech quality team to assist with continuous improvement projects to help the company meet the needs of customers today and in the future. Specifically, he will focus on establishing appropriate customer specifications, follow up on customer issues and lead improvement projects assigned to him. Adam brings a great deal of customer experience to his new role, from designing new products to following up on quality control initiatives, said Vince Warne, director of quality assurance for Edgetech. This has included first-hand experience with many mutual customers of Edgetech and Lauren Manufacturing“s Building and Construction group. We are happy to have him officially join the Edgetech team and look forward to his contributions.
