Glass Service s.r.l.’s team now includes Helmut Horn, who will bring his many years of industrial experience in plant design for glass production.
Helmut Horn will support Glass Service s.r.l.’s team with his many years of industrial experience in plant design for glass production.
Thanks to the tradition of the glass furnace design family Horn, he feels connected to the worldwide glass industry. His great-great-grandfather August Horn, in fact, founded the company Aug. Horn & Soehne in Ploessberg, Germany in 1884.
His experience in the design and implementation of melting furnaces extends over the entire field from 50kg to 1000t daily output, from tableware, container glass to float furnaces.
He will support Glass Service management, technology department and international sales activities with his knowledge and contribute to the business development.
Helmut Horn likes to be involved in new developments and research projects on the subject of glass production. Most recently, he worked as sales manager at Fickert + Winterling Maschinenbau GmbH and was involved in the development of the world’s largest glass rolling machines for solar glass production.
