The recently announced 50:50 joint venture between Raya and Interpane will operate under the name Interpane Egypt LLC, and will have the exclusive right to distribute the Interpane License to other glass manufacturing and processing factories in Egypt. The joint venture will also establish an environmentally friendly float glass coating plant by 2010, to produce high performance glass for solar and heat control application to save energy and reduce energy.
