French producer, processor, and distributor of building materials, including glass, ceramics, plastics, and cast iron Saint-Gobain, and Turkey-based Sisecam AS have agreed to form a joint venture to jointly develop flat glass (float) activities in Egypt and Russia. Sisecam is active in flat glass, glassware, and glass packaging, and industrial chemicals. According to the agreement, Sisecam has agreed to take a minority stake in Saint-Gobain Glass“ investment project in Egypt for its first float glass production line. The joint venture also involves the construction of a float line in Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan.
