RPM International Inc announced that its subsidiary, Tremco illbruck International GmbH, acquired Swiss Karochemie AG, a leading supplier of sealants to the construction markets in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. It is expected to be accretive to earnings within one year. Karochemie“s 2008 sales totalled about USD 13.4 million. The acquisition is expected to lead to a stronger market position, benefiting both companies, as well as customers of the expanded group. Tremco illbruck International is a leading supplier of sealants for windows, facades and insulating glass. RPM International Inc, a holding company, owns subsidiaries that are world leaders in speciality coatings and sealants serving both industrial and consumer markets.
