A late surge in registrations for the National Auto Glass Conference suggests that, in spite of the slow economy, attendance at the 2009 event is set to surpass the previous year“s results. The conference, which runs 18-20 February 2009 at the Omni Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida, has taken on new urgency for many who are eager to hear from industry experts and compare strategies with their peers from around the country. Presented by NGA“s Auto Glass Retail Committee, the conference will feature a special emphasis on best practices for multi-branch locations. The 20th-annual event has attracted an outstanding line-up of expert speakers, and, as always, offers a wide array of interactive workshops on timely topics, peer-to-peer sharing, and informal networking opportunities. “We“re extremely pleased with the bump in last-minute registrations”, said Steve Mort, CEO of Don“s Mobile and chairman of the National Glass Association. “We“re well aware that economic pressures have caused many of our members to think twice about their discretionary spending. But it appears they“ve recognized that with the extraordinary agenda we“ve crafted, this is an investment they simply can“t afford not to make”.
