At Glasstec 2008, Bavelloni unveiled a series of innovative new products designed to offer increased productivity and flexibility for manufacturers in the demanding architectural and furniture glass markets. Bavelloni is also demonstrating the company“s growing expertise in processing solutions for the solar energy market where its equipment can already meet the pre-processing needs of this area. These products tie in with the company“s increasing capabilities in integrating its production equipment to offer high levels of automation and control. The new PowerEdge family underlines Bavelloni“s extensive experience as a market leader in glass grinding. The new series of double edgers is specially designed for the architectural glass sector (large glass dimensions of high quality, small batches, etc.) Thanks to the modern technological solutions used for its design and creation, the PowerEdge series encompasses unique machines offering high performance, reliability and user-friendliness. PowerEdge machines are available in a variety of models dependent upon wheel configuration and glass size, up to a maximum dimension of 3300 x 7200 mm. With a wide range of modules and options, the company can create solutions to meet customers“ specific needs. The NRG 330 is the latest generation of Bavelloni CNC, designed to meet all glass processing needs. With a workable dimension of 3300 x 1700 mm, the NRG 330 is suitable for architectural, furniture, shower door and interior design glass processing. The features of the NRG 330 are its flexibility, modular design and a large range of accessories that make the NRG 330 highly customizable. With the low-E market in focus the company has enlarged its range of cutting solutions including the REV and Syncro Low-e models. The REV models are now available upon request equipped with an automatic device for shaped and straight edge deletion (grinding of low-E coatings), carried out by a cup wheel system. The redressing cycle of the wheel is carried out directly on the glass edge automatically and requires no intervention by the operator. The device is equipped with a suction/filtering unit of the powder produced during the grinding or dressing operations. The MFS 37/27c Low-e is the first model within Bavelloni“s Syncro cutting technology range that can be supplied with an automatic device for edge deletion (peripheral wheel). The NC controls both the grinding path and pressure, and the rotation speed of the wheel, adjusted according to its diameter which is automatically read. Bavelloni has increased its range of tools to meet the grinding and polishing needs of the architectural sector. Architools is a new family of grinding cup wheels that includes both diamond and polishing tools. They can be used with straight line and double edging machines that operate with cup wheels. These new wheels have been developed to cope with high processing speed while still being able to maintain a good quality finish. For the first time, Bavelloni has unveiled machines which work together with software from Albat+Wirsam, the leading software specialist to the glass processing industry and now part of the group, further enhancing Bavelloni“s capabilities in machine integration.
