Crystal and china maker Waterford Wedgwood Plc is planning to sell German china maker Rosenthal AG, Financial Times Deutschland reported, without citing sources. The company has given investment banks JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Cazenove the job of finding a potential buyer, the paper said. Waterford said in a statement released in response to media reports that it is conducting a strategic review of Rosenthal and has appointed JPMorgan Cazenove, jointly owned by JP Morgan and Cazenove, to help the company. The sale may fetch between EUR 150-200 million, Financial Times Deutschland said, citing industry sources. In the business year to 31 March 2007, Rosenthal sales fell by 8% to EUR 170.1 million.
