Saint-Gobain Group is to merge the Finnish operations of Gyproc (plasterboard), Isover (fiberglass), and Ecophon (acoustic ceilings) by the end of 2007. The name of the new company will be Saint-Gobain Rakennustuotteet (construction products). According to the managing director of Isover, any changes that will be seen outside the company will be small as the organisation is in good shape and the brands will continue independently. The new company has set itself high growth targets, however. In five years, net sales are to double to EUR 350 million. The number of employees will grow to 700 from the present 550.
