Owens-Illinois, Inc. has named Stephen P. Bramlage, Jr. as O-I vice president and corporate treasurer, the glass packaging giant announced 3 March 2006. Mr. Bramlage will lead O-I“s global treasury function including management of the company“s worldwide financial assets, domestic and international financing, worldwide banking relations, and risk management. Mr. Bramlage began his career with Ernst & Young LLP. He then joined Eli Lilly & Company“s corporate finance and investment banking department before moving into several global treasury roles, including capital markets and structured finance. He joined PPG Industries, Inc. as manager of European treasury and global foreign exchange. He next served as director of finance in the coatings controllership group. Most recently, Mr. Bramlage has been assistant treasurer in PPG“s global treasury department. “With his corporate finance knowledge, as well as his global treasury experience, we are confident Steve will be a great leader for our team,” said Ed White, O-I senior vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. Bramlage holds a bachelor“s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Northwestern University“s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is also a certified public accountant.
