The Ukraine“s exports of glass and glass products increased by 43.7% year-on-year to USD 65.2 million (EUR 54.7 million) for 2005, according to data from the State Statistics Committee. Imports rose by 34.1% to USD 159.6 million (EUR 134 million), accounting for 0.44% of the country“s total imports for 2005. Output of cast, rolled, blown and drawn, sheet and profiled glass increased by 18.3% year-on-year to 9.0 million square meters in 2004. The country“s production of float glass and glass sheet with smooth or polished surface rose by 17.6% to 16.7 million square meters in 2004.
