India“s Videocon Group has successfully concluded the acquisition of the entire business interests of Thomson SA for colour picture tube manufacturing. This includes manufacturing facilities in China, Poland, Mexico and R&D in Italy through an offshore entity of the group. The consumer appliances group acquired Thomson“s picture tube units in June 2005 for EUR 240 million. The total capacity of the units will be around 19 million colour picture tube units and 4 million items of colour picture tube glass per annum.
