Following the lay-offs in June 2005, Swedish glass product design company Orrefors Kosta Boda Holding AB will cut another 63 jobs, the company said on 7 July 2005. Of the 63 to be made redundant, 50 are administrative staff and executives and four are temporary employees, who have chosen to retire. In June 2005, Orrefors Kosta Boda eliminated 67 jobs in the first stage of a cost-cutting exercise. The redundancies started some weeks after the company was acquired by Swedish clothing company New Wave Group AB and less than a week after the new CEO Magnus Andersson took charge. New Wave Group aims to reduce the management team and give individual employees greater responsibilities.
