Mappi: glasstec post-show report

During the 25th edition of glasstec, Mappi also celebrated 25 years of activity, with the ATS 4.0 on show, and a special series of meetings.

This year was glasstec’s 25th anniversary, during which the event confirmed its main role of inspiring the future of glass. But this year also marks 25 years of activities for Mappi. And during the show, Mappi saw the highest participation ever at its booth, with people from all over the world, some of whom already with the idea of buying a Mappi furnace.

ATS 4.0 was the real star of the booth, a furnace recognized for its significant cost and energy savings thanks to the GHBS Xtreme Profile Convection System.

GHBS enables to process all coated glass of the last generation including low-E with 0.01 emissivity and, of course, improve the quality of the glass in terms of:

  • optical distortion;
  • glass sheet flatness;
  • surface defects;
  • increased maximum dimensions of temperable glass sheets;
  • reduced cycle time and increased productivity.

At glasstec, Mappi hosted four days of meetings summarized in the new focus of Mappi: “DOT, Discover Our Technologies”, the goal to create a perfect circle, a project that has found motivated partners in Cugher, Triulzi and Iocco, a team able to offer an entire supply chain.
