The management board of Turkish auto glass manufacturer Trakya Cam has proposed making a cash dividend payment totaling TRL 56.217 trillion (USD 40.3 million/EUR 34.1 million) for 2003, equal to 24.7% of the issued capital, it was reported on 27 April 2004. The dividend is subject to approval by the company“s general shareholders“ meeting scheduled for 30 April 2004. If approved, payment will begin on 31 May 2004. Trakya Cam, which is part of Turkish glassware and chemicals group Sisecam, posted a net profit of TRL 87.3 trillion (USD 62.6 million/EUR 52.9 million) for 2003, compared to TRL 86.7 trillion (USD 62.2 million/EUR 52.5 million) for 2002. Glassware maker Anadolu Cam, which is also part of Sisecam, has proposed distributing TRL 20.217 trillion (USD 14.5 million/12.3 million EUR) in dividends for 2003, it was reported on 27 April 2004. The board has offered a dividend payment of TRL 19.653 trillion (USD 14.1 million/EUR 11.9 million) to ordinary shareholders, equal to 13% of the share par value, and TRL 564.2 billion (USD 405,000/EUR 342,000) to preferred shareholders, subject to approval at the shareholder meeting scheduled for 30 April 2004. If approved, the dividend payment will commence on 31 May 2004.
