Turkish glass and chemicals group Sisecam is considering Bulgaria and Romania as possible locations for a new USD 100m factory. The company, which already has a stake in the Sodi Devnya soda ash plant in Bulgaria, is expected to decide on the greenfield investment by end-February 2003. Another part of the Sisecam group, sodium and chrome chemicals producer Soda Sanayii, will set up a trade company with an initial capital of USD 200,000 (EUR 185,000) at the Chinese Shanghai Free Zone, it was announced on 24 January 2003.
