Amcor Ltd., Australia“s largest packaging company, said on 15 June it will outsource its domestic information technology services to Siemens Business Service under a five year contract. Amcor said it expects to save between 15% and 20% over the length of the AUD 200 million contract. Siemens Business Service, a local subsidiary of Germany“s Siemens AG, will manage Amcor“s information technology infrastructure and maintain and support existing software applications as well as providing project management services. Amcor Chief Executive Russell Jones said in a statement the contract will deliver improved capabilities and better efficiency across its IT applications.
